Victoria Sterling (b. Scranton, PA) is a multidisciplinary artist and writer living in Pittsburgh, PA. In her artistic practice, she experiments with zines, paintings, and photography exploring a cyber-botanical imagination.
Vi is a co-organizer of PS, a seasonal daytime party series, co-organizer of Pittsburgh Zine Fair, and occasional writer for Petrichor online magazine. In 2025, she had an art residency at DIY space Scobi Hotel, co-curated Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Art Mart at 820 Liberty Gallery, and curated discard | reclaim art exhibit at Module for Unblurred First Friday.
Her writing is published as a chapter “Supercell” in Petrichor and her collaborative multimedia work is published in Honcho Zine and Dance Data fanzine. Her zine, Cy, can be found at Fungus Bookstore. In the past, she volunteered with the Pittsburgh Art Book Fair, Hot Mass, Shadyside Nursery, Carnegie Museum of Art special events, PGH Museums, involveMINT, and the Global Switchboard’s BurghMeetsWorld. She was the curator and vice curator of the Global Shapers Pittsburgh from 2019-2021.
Her career is in project management, currently contracting with PNC on a $5 million mainframe security project. Previously, she contracted with PNC’s XI innovation team and SCRF web3 research startup on team operations, digital tooling, and documentation. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in philosophy and nonfiction writing, she continued to work at her alma mater in research ethics and adminstration. From 2018-2023, she managed the Geography of Philosophy Project studying knowledge, wisdom, and understanding across cultures under Dr. Edouard Machery at the History & Philosophy of Science department at the University of Pittsburgh.
